A photo captures a moment a moment in time. A painting turns it into a timeless, and priceless, treasure, that you will cherish for many years to come. Here are some examples of Commissioned pieces:

The artist will be very pleased to receive your commission. The subject of your painting can be whatever you wish. There are no limitations. Please bear in mind that all art is subjective, and some artistic license must be given and will be used in the creation of your painting. Please email the artist your request, and attach several high quality photographs of your desired subject. The artist will then email you back with a quote on the price of the commission. If you are happy to proceed when you are in receipt of this price, a deposit of 40% of the total quoted price will be required before work can commence.

Paintings are sometimes purchased as a Secret Gift for special occasions like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christmas and other special occasions, or, as a chance to realise a long held dream. It gives the recipient great pleasure in receiving a beautiful and lasting painting and also serves to demonstrate the donor’s love, in the giving of the painting.

Commissioned works are individually priced, taking account of the amount of detail and size of the painting, commensurate with the pricing of other paintings on this web site. You should allow 4 to six weeks for the delivery of your painting, subject also to workload. An approximate delivery date is given with each quotation. The balance payment is required prior to shipment, of your painting. All prices include shipping costs.

Please advise:

1. Your painting will be created with Oils - please state if you would prefer your painting, on canvas, or on board, and the size of painting you would like

2. Advise the desired time scale, especially if a fixed delivery date is essential.

3. Provide several, good quality photographs with high resolution

4. Note that all information, images etc. sent by you will be held strictly confidential and in absolute privacy. Images will only be used within the web site or for marketing purposes with your written consent. Certain displayed artworks on the web site are commissions.

When your painting is completed, it will be photographed and the photograph will be sent to you, either by e-mail or post, as you request, for your final approval. Once you have confirmed that you are happy with the finished piece and the balance of payment has been received, it will be forwarded, to you, by courier.

Please note, that, paintings are not normally forwarded framed, however, Autos in Oils will be pleased to provide this service if you require it, on your specific instructions.
